5.The project objectives:

 

- Newly and completely constructing the University of Odonto–stomatology with full modern facilities, building comprehensive material and technological foundation.

-Creating an ideal environment for studying, teaching and science researching activities that is convenient for experts and students teaching and studying at the university.

-The Scale and general view of the buildings make the local view beautiful and contribute to the local technological infrastructure.

 

6.Investment scale and content:

 

The project of investment and construction of The Odonto – Stomatology University includes the following items:

 

A.Overall Scale

 

Land area and technical standards:

* Total land area that is researched and planned: 35378,88 m²

Of which

+ Land for roads & common use (not be used to construct):4963,23 m²

+ Land for the university construction: 30424,65 m²

Limited by the followings:

- The whole project’s construction area: 8649 m²

C.Auxiliary works:

 

Auxiliary works include sterilization center, oxygen center, pump station, sewage treatment station, transformer station, sport area (including basketball court, volleyball ground, running track), drugstore, store, repair workshop, school clinic, information technology center, parking area for cars, motorbikes, bicycles, guardhouse, play ground, garden, trees areas, internal roads, garden for experimental animals, leveling ground surface works, gates, partition wall fences, the whole area external wall fences, external electric supply, external water supply, Fire preventing & fighting devices, etc., and the completion of technological infrastructure system as well as overall architectural view. Besides, commonly used and specialized devices that are appropriate to each item of works will be comprehensively installed.

·Architectural solution, technological structure

 

a) Solution of planning total plane:

 

Total plane is divided into functional sections with clear and coherent traffic system including three main entrances and o­ne auxiliary entrance to ensure good use and the university activities not to be overlapped, as well as ensure traffic safety and timely fire preventing and fighting.

The Lecture halls + University headquarter + Library building will be located at the central of the area at the 2 main northern entrances. This building is 9 floors, 50m away from the northern road, forming a large square to make the university more beautiful and be the point of the area.

Besides, practice hospital (5 floors) and 500 seat conference hall (1 floor) will be located at the east and south-east of the area. These buildings will face the internal roads to create good view for these roads and be able to meet fresh south-east wind. Because of being low, these buildings will not block fresh wind from going to other buildings.

Gymnasia (01 floor), open air sport area and dormitory + dining room (9 floors) will be located at the west and southwest of the area. There is an entrance here to serve the staying students and other technical functions.

The remaining land which is scheduled for future construction, will be the garden for experimental animals at the south of the area.

Every building will be located near large area of trees. Trees will be planted near the buildings and lines of trees will be planted next to fences, roads, around sport ground, parking area, sidewalks, etc. in order to decrease noise and dust from outside traffic, bringing about fresh air and ideal environment for everyone studying or working at the university.

 

b) Plane solution and division of functional area

 

b.1. Lecture halls + University headquarter + Library (9 floors + underground + roof space)

 

- Administrative area, headquarter offices are o­n the first (ground floor) and second floors. Big halls and traditional display area and administrative department are o­n the ground floor. Rector’s and vice rector’s rooms, rooms which belong to training department are o­n the second floor.

- Lecture halls (50 ~ 100 seats) are o­n the third floor. Besides, there is connecting alley between the studying building and the practice hospital, making it convenient for moving between the two buildings.

- Teacher’s rooms and classrooms for basic science are o­n the 4th floor. Besides the 3m wide corridor that offers students good space for moving and taking rest, there is more wide space with trees to improve the studying and researching environment for students.

- o­n the 5th floor, classrooms and teacher’s rooms are arranged for Faculty of restorative dentistry, Faculty of preventive dentistry, departments’ offices, faculty’s offices, etc.

-On the 6th floor, classrooms, teacher’s rooms, head & deputy head of faculty’s rooms, meeting rooms are arranged for Faculty of oral-maxillofacial surgery. There are classrooms for department of imaging diagnosis, preparation rooms, etc.

- o­n the 7th floor, classrooms, teacher’s rooms are arranged for Faculty of basic dentistry. There are other rooms for faculty head, deputy head, faculty offices, preparation, etc.

- o­n the 8th floor, classrooms and teacher’s rooms are arranged for faculty of Basic medicine. Besides, there are rooms for faculty head & deputy head, faculty offices and for research activities.

- Library and reading rooms, specialized magazines areas are o­n the 9th floor that offers peaceful environment for reading, studying and making research.

- Technical supportive areas are arranged not o­nly at traffic joint every floor but also at technical floor and underground floor.

- The works is designed with clear and coherent traffic, with wide corridors and resting spaces for students, meeting the requirements of the design standard in force. Every room is designed with large space and directly contact with natural light and wind.

 

b.2. Practice hospital (5 floors + roof space)

 

Basing o­n the need and practical activities of Odonto stomatology speciality, partial areas are located as following details:

 

-On the 1st floor (Ground floor): large halls (including halls for patients and halls for administrative works) are arranged, such as waiting rooms, administrative department, speciality experiment rooms, faculty of Imaging diagnosis, first aid section, faculty of anatomy and pathology, etc., in order to create favour condition for dealing with emergency case, and diseases examination and treatment for patients.

-The 2nd floor includes rooms for endodontic treatment, oral surgery, orthodontics, counsel rooms, waiting rooms, resting rooms for doctors, other support rooms, etc.

-On the 3rd floor, rooms are arranged for maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry, faculties of biochemist test and preparation, basic medicine, basic dentistry, pharmacology. There are doctors’ rooms, probationary students’ rooms, support rooms, etc.

-On the 4th floor, There are rooms for operation, minor surgery, after-surgery, staff o­n duty, consultation, faculty of anesthetic & resuscitation, sterilization. There are rooms for doctors, preparation, and waiting rooms for patients’ families, too.

-On the 5th floor, rooms are arranged for patients’ stay and treatment, to make it convenient for taking care and giving treatment for patients.

-Technical support areas are set not o­nly at cross every floor but also at technical floor and underground floor.

-Every room is designed with large space and directly contact with natural light and wind.

-The buildings is researched and arranged harmoniously among architectural space and trees, creating good view and effective use.

b.3. Dormitory & dining room (9 floors + underground floor + roof space)

- Underground floor is arranged for packing and technical support area.

- Big halls (including entrance), cantina, clinic, tailor’s, news agent, post office, hair dresser’s, etc…. and students management room are arranged o­n the 1st floor (ground floor) to create favour condition for students’ daily life.

- 2nd floor includes big dinning room, kitchen area (food processing area) that is conveniently separated for use.

- 3rd floor is arranged for community clubs of various activities, to improve the cultural and spiritual life for students.

- From 4th floor to 8th floor, rooms are arranged for students to stay, o­n the 9th floor, rooms are arranged for experts.

- Technical support areas are set not o­nly at cross every floor but also at technical floor and underground floor.

 

- The works is designed with clear and coherent traffic, with wide corridors and resting spaces for students, meeting the requirements of the design standard in force. Every room is designed with large space and directly contact with natural light and wind.

 

- The location of entrance, stairs and elevator are designed appropriately to ensure safety, timely fire preventing & fighting and escaping from incident.

 

 

 

b.4. Gymnasia (one floor)

 

-Entrances, multipurpose gymnasia, changing, health, are located o­n the first floor. They make the using and studying easy and are designed according to the standard in force.

-The middle floor has machine rooms, coach rooms, theory rooms that contact directly with the natural light and wind.

-The works is designed with clear and coherent traffic. The entrance and stairs are studied and placed to ensure the safe of using, preventing and fighting fire and escaping in happening.

-Technical and auxiliary areas are in the easy using location.

 

b.5. 500 seats meeting-hall: ( o­ne floor)

 

-Halls, space for auditorium, stage, cloak-room, refreshment are o­n the first floor and are designed according to the standard in force.

-Auditorium space and refreshment and refresher space, displaying space are placed in middle floor and contact directly with the natural light and wind.

-The works is designed with clear and coherent traffic. The entrance and stairs are studied and placed to ensure the safe of using, preventing and fighting fire and escaping in happening.

-Technical and auxiliary areas are in the easy using location.

 

c) Cubic solution and architectural facade:

 

-Cubic facade of the works in the total architecture of the university is studied and combined harmoniously with surrounding scenery. The main cubic works is placed in the center with the surrounding auxiliary works that makes it well-matched and solid. Besides, the combination within trees and flowers improve the working and studying environment and the beauty of the university.

 

-The facade of combined using works is designed harmoniously between horizontal axis and vertical axis; between space and surrounding architectural scenery and in the unifying general. It not o­nly increase aestheticism of cubic architecture but also is a partial division with the inside using functions; it contributes to create the beauty and the solidity of the works.

 

d) Solution for technical equipments

 

d.1. common technical equipments

 

-Elevators are placed reasonably, conveniently for local traffic, ensuring easy traffic according to Vietnam standard in force.

-The technical supports for electricity, telephone, TV cable, water supply, firefighting etc… are hidden in the wall and each floor has its own technical box for convenient and safe use.

 

d.2. Specialized technical equipments

 

Specialized technical equipments will be carried out due to a separate project.

 

e) Technical solutions for auxiliary parts

 

e.1. Local roads and trees

 

-Local roads in the university are studied and designed casting of grading concrete with elastic slots. The thickness of layers is guaranteed according to the designing standard in force; technical parameters are guaranteed for safe traffic and surface drainage.

-The trees system are grown in the university not o­nly for increasing the beauty of pedagogic setting, creating shade, dividing areas but also for isolating, decreasing the noise and smoke and dust from the traffic outside.

 

e.2. Entrance, wall fence, guardhouse

 

-Entrance, wall fence and guardhouse are studied and designed integrating with the general architecture. It not o­nly isolates and protects but also beautifies the setting.

 

e.3. Sport ground and running track:

 

-Sport ground and running track are researched and designed according to the design standard in force.

-The sport ground’s technical parameters and directions are guaranteed for perfect use.

 

e.4. Workshop, transformer station, sewage disposal station:

 

-Workshop, transformer station, sewage disposal station are designed o­ne floor and placed independently at the end of the area for easy use and not effecting o­n other using functions.

 

e.5. Parking area:

 

-Steel frame and corrugated iron roof are used for the main structure. They are conformable to the work and easy to be designed more beautifully.

 

 

e.6. Experimental animal garden (combining reserved land for development)

 

-Combine growing trees and raising experimental animal for studying and lecturing.

-It is the land for future development.

 

e.7 Infrastructure works

 

Leveling the foundation:

 

-All the land is leveled to + 5.8 to 6.5 according to square method (10mx10m) with the slope i = 0.5%, and slope toward the nearest road with coefficient of compression K = 0.95.

 

Exterior electricity supply:

 

-The city transformer station supplies the electricity resource to the transformer: 630kVA-(0.6)24/0.4kV and supplies to each work.

-Exterior electricity supply is used for: gate post, wall fence, guardhouse, high-tension lights, grounds and local road lights etc… and other auxiliary articles.

-Electricity supply is placed in the technical trend underground.

 

Exterior water supply:

 

-Nam Du water factory supplies the water resource by a pipe in the east of the land. Water is contained in the underground cistern and is supplied to the works by the water pump system.

 

Exterior drainage:

 

Divide into 2 separate systems:

 

-Surface drainage: After depositing sediment, rain is drained by Tran Phu ditch in the north of the land and pour in Kim Nguu river.

-Sewage drainage:

·Sewage: Sewage has local treatment before pouring in regional drainage system.

·Hospital sewage: hospital sewage is treated in the sewage treating station according to current Vietnam environmental sanitation standard before pouring in Tran Phu ditch system.

 

Structure concept

 

Structural concept of amphitheatre + university headquarter + library, university hospital, dormitory, refectory, gymnasia, 500 seats meeting hall are calculated and designed safely according to designing standard in force as follow:
